Aesthetic dermatology in Gurgaon
Cosmetic treatment planned by a dermatologist with a fellowship in aesthetic dermatology. The aim is skin and features that look rested and well, never obviously worked on, and that sometimes means advising less than you expected.
What does aesthetic dermatology involve in Gurgaon?
Aesthetic dermatology treats appearance rather than disease: skin quality, pigmentation, lines, volume and texture. At Le Dermaire, every injection and procedure is planned and given by Dr. Tanya Kochhar after a facial assessment. The style is conservative, with small changes built up over visits. Most results are temporary, so maintenance is discussed upfront.
Aesthetic dermatology, in short
How aesthetic care works at Le Dermaire. Specific treatments have their own figures on their own pages.
Skin that looks well rather than treated
Good aesthetic work is hard to spot. The goal is for people to say you look rested or healthy, not to wonder what you have had done. That usually comes from treating the skin itself first, then using injectables sparingly and in proportion to the face you already have.
Because Dr. Tanya is a dermatologist, the assessment includes the skin conditions that often sit behind cosmetic worries: melasma under a request for “glow”, rosacea under a request for fillers, hair loss behind a request for scalp injections. Treating those properly is often worth more than any injection, and it is part of the same plan.
It also means the plan is honest about order. Pigment, acne and skin quality are usually improved first, because healthier skin needs less product and shows a more natural result. Injectables then come in small amounts, reviewed after two weeks, and maintenance is set by how your own face responds rather than by a fixed calendar.
Trends on social media change quickly and faces do not. If a request is likely to look unnatural, age poorly or conflict with your anatomy, you will be told so, with the reasons.
Aesthetic treatments by concern
Most people come in with a concern, not a treatment in mind. These are the usual matches, though the final choice depends on what the assessment finds.
Lines when you move
Frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet that appear with expression usually respond to botulinum toxin, which relaxes the muscle behind them. Results last about three to four months.
Hollows and lost volume
Flattened cheeks, under-eye hollows, thin lips and deepening smile lines at rest come from volume loss and are treated with hyaluronic acid filler, placed conservatively.
Dull, dehydrated skin
Skin that looks flat or feels tight responds to skin boosters, mesotherapy or a Hydrafacial, alongside a sensible routine and daily sunscreen. Pigment and acne are ruled out first.
Texture and fine crepey lines
Rough texture, enlarged pores and early crepiness are treated with PRP or PRF, microneedling, peels or laser, often over a course of sessions spaced a month apart.
Uneven tone and patches
Melasma, sun spots, tanning and post-acne marks are medical pigment problems first. They are treated with prescriptions, peels or laser, not covered up with injectables.
Before an event
For a wedding or photoshoot, treatments are timed backwards from the date so that swelling has settled and the result has been reviewed, with nothing new tried in the final week.
Consultation, PRF and mesotherapy
The aesthetic treatments explained on this page. Mesotherapy, Botox, fillers, skin boosters and PRP have their own guides.
Aesthetic dermatology consultation
A consultation of its own, before anything is injected. Dr. Tanya looks at skin quality, pigment, facial structure, symmetry and how the face moves, and asks what bothers you and why now. You leave with a prioritised plan, including what can be done with skincare alone, what a treatment can realistically achieve and what it cannot. Where a treatment is unsuitable, for example during pregnancy, over active infection or when expectations cannot be met, it is declined rather than sold.
PRF for the face
Platelet-rich fibrin is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, spun more gently than PRP and without an anticoagulant, so it forms a soft fibrin gel that releases growth factors more slowly. On the face it is used for fine texture, crepey skin and mild under-eye hollowness, usually over two or three sessions about a month apart. Changes are gradual and modest, and evidence for facial use is still developing. Expect some swelling and possible bruising for a few days, especially under the eyes.
Face and scalp mesotherapy
Mesotherapy delivers tiny amounts of a registered solution, such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins or peptides, into the skin of the face or scalp through many superficial injections. It is a supporting treatment for dull, dehydrated skin and, on the scalp, one part of a hair loss plan. How it is done, what the evidence shows and who it suits are covered on its own page.

Treatment
Skin is cleansed and numbed where helpful. Doses and product amounts are kept conservative on a first visit.
Review
A follow-up at around two weeks for injectables allows small adjustments, and sets the interval for maintenance.
Botox and fillers or skin-quality treatments?
Aesthetic treatments do one of two jobs: change shape and movement, or improve the skin itself. Many plans need a little of both.
| Botox and fillers | Skin boosters, PRP and Hydrafacial | |
|---|---|---|
| What they change | Movement lines, volume and contour: the shape of the face. | Hydration, texture, glow and fine lines: the quality of the skin surface. |
| Typical concerns | Frown lines, crow's feet, under-eye hollows, thin lips, flat cheeks, a soft jawline. | Dullness, dehydration, rough texture, early crepiness and tired-looking skin. |
| When results show | Toxin over 1 to 2 weeks; filler straight away once swelling settles. | Hydrafacial the same day; boosters and PRP build over weeks and sessions. |
| How long results last | Toxin about 3 to 4 months; filler roughly 6 to 18 months. | Hydrafacial one to two weeks; boosters and PRP months, with maintenance. |
| Downtime | Minimal; small bruises or swelling for a few days. | None for a Hydrafacial; a day or two of bumps or redness after injections or needling. |
| Main caution | Injected only by a doctor who knows facial anatomy and can manage complications. | Active acne, infection or melasma are treated first, as they change what is safe. |
Which suits your face, and in what order, is decided after the assessment. Skin quality is often worth improving first, because it changes how much injectable is needed.
How aesthetic needs change with age
Twenties and early thirties
- Daily sunscreen and a short routine do more than any procedure at this stage.
- Acne, acne marks and early melasma are treated medically first.
- Hydrafacial, peels and skin boosters for glow and texture, if wanted.
- Small doses of toxin only where strong frown lines are already etching in.
Mid-thirties onwards
- Toxin for expression lines that remain visible at rest.
- Conservative filler where volume loss shows in the cheeks, under-eyes or lips.
- PRP, PRF, microneedling or laser for texture, pores and crepey skin.
- Pigment and skin quality kept under control so injectables look natural.
Aesthetic treatment cost in Gurgaon
Aesthetic treatment is priced by the treatment, the amount of product and the number of sessions. You receive a written quote after the consultation, and there is no pressure to book on the day.
What a low price can hide
Injectables vary in origin, storage and authenticity, and diluted or unregistered products are one of the commonest causes of poor results and complications. A price is only comparable when you know exactly what is being injected, how much and by whom.
Are aesthetic treatments safe?
Botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers, skin boosters, PRP and Hydrafacial are well-established treatments with a good safety record when they are given by a trained doctor using registered products. The common effects are temporary: redness, small bumps at injection points, swelling and bruising that settle over a few days.
Less common problems depend on the treatment. Toxin can occasionally cause a heavy brow or a temporarily drooping eyelid. Filler can cause lumps or unevenness, and rarely blocks a blood vessel, which is an emergency. Needling and peels can leave dark marks on Indian skin if the skin is inflamed or exposed to sun while it heals. Choosing the right treatment, a conservative dose and careful aftercare keeps these risks low.
Some situations mean waiting. Most aesthetic treatments are postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, over active acne, infection or cold sores, and for a period after isotretinoin when needling or peels are planned. Blood thinners, autoimmune disease, keloid tendency and previous reactions to injections are discussed at consultation.
After filler, contact the clinic at once if you notice severe or increasing pain, skin that turns pale, dusky or blotchy, or any change in vision.
Before and after aesthetic treatment
Before
- Avoid alcohol for a day before injections to reduce bruising.
- Pause fish oil and vitamin E for a few days if your doctor agrees; do not stop prescribed blood thinners.
- Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids a few days before needling or peels.
- Mention pregnancy, cold sores, recent isotretinoin and any previous injections.
After
- Stay upright for four hours after toxin and avoid rubbing the area.
- Skip heavy exercise, saunas and steam for 24 to 48 hours.
- Use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and daily sunscreen while the skin settles.
- Keep the review appointment, so small adjustments can be made.
Questions to ask any aesthetic clinic in Gurgaon
Aesthetic treatments are widely offered in salons, spas and chains as well as by doctors, and the price of a session says little about what you are getting. A few questions make the difference clear. Who will assess me, and who will actually give the injection? What is their medical qualification? Which product will be used, and can I see the sealed pack and batch number before it is opened?
Ask what happens if something goes wrong. Filler complications such as a blocked blood vessel are rare but need immediate recognition and treatment, including dissolving hyaluronic acid filler with hyaluronidase. Bruising, swelling and asymmetry are more common and should be reviewed by the same person who treated you.
Finally, ask what the treatment cannot do. An honest plan names its limits: toxin will not lift sagging skin, filler cannot replace a healthy skin routine, and a facial will not clear melasma. If every concern seems to have the same answer, or a package is sold before your skin has been examined, it is worth a second opinion.
At Le Dermaire, the product is named and shown before use, every injection is given by Dr. Tanya, and complications are managed by the doctor who gave the treatment.
Aesthetic care from a dermatologist
Aesthetic treatment works on living skin, and the skin underneath matters. Dr. Tanya's training in both medical and aesthetic dermatology means acne, melasma, rosacea and hair loss are recognised and treated alongside any cosmetic request, and complications, if they occur, are managed by the same doctor who gave the treatment.
Dr. Tanya Kochhar holds an MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, an MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy from MGM Medical College, a DNB, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Aesthetic Dermatology (FRGUHS). She is registered with the National Medical Commission and the Delhi Medical Council.
Aesthetic dermatology FAQs
What is aesthetic dermatology?
It is the branch of dermatology concerned with appearance rather than disease: skin quality, pigmentation, lines, volume and texture. At Le Dermaire it is practised by a dermatologist, so medical skin conditions are recognised and treated as part of the same plan, and treatments are chosen for safety as much as for effect.
Will I look obviously treated?
The aim is the opposite. Doses and product amounts are kept conservative, particularly on a first visit, and changes are built up over time. You should look rested and well. If a request is likely to look unnatural or out of proportion with your face, you will be told that honestly.
How much does aesthetic treatment cost in Gurgaon?
At Le Dermaire the cost depends on the treatment, the amount of product and the number of sessions, and is quoted in writing after the consultation. The consultation fee is Rs 1,800. There are no charges that are not quoted to you first.
What is the difference between PRF and PRP?
Both come from your own blood. PRP is spun faster with an anticoagulant and gives a liquid concentrate of platelets. PRF is spun more gently without an anticoagulant and forms a soft fibrin gel that releases growth factors more slowly. Which suits you depends on the area and the goal, and neither works quickly.
Does mesotherapy actually work?
The evidence is modest and depends heavily on what is injected. Some people notice better hydration or support for hair when it is combined with medical treatment, but it is not a stand-alone solution. Product quality matters a great deal, so only registered, traceable products should be used.
Can I have aesthetic treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Most injectables and aesthetic procedures are postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding because safety data are lacking. Gentle skincare and some in-clinic treatments may still be suitable, and Dr. Tanya can advise on what is safe at each stage. It is always better to mention pregnancy or plans for it at consultation.
What is the right age to start aesthetic treatments?
There is no fixed age. In your twenties, sunscreen, a simple routine and treating acne or pigment do the most good. Injectables are considered when lines or volume loss are actually visible, often from the mid-thirties, and doses are kept small. Starting early with heavy treatment is not a way to prevent ageing.
How far before a wedding should I plan aesthetic treatment?
Ideally start three to six months ahead, so pigment, acne or texture can be treated over a course. Botox is best given at least two to three weeks before and filler about two to four weeks before, to allow for swelling and a review. Avoid trying anything new in the final week.
Can several aesthetic treatments be done in one visit?
Sometimes. Toxin and filler are often given at the same appointment, and a Hydrafacial can be combined with some other treatments. Procedures that inflame the skin, such as microneedling or peels, are usually separated from injections by a week or two. The order and spacing are set in your plan.
Who should give Botox and fillers?
A medically qualified doctor trained in facial anatomy, ideally a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, who uses registered products and can recognise and treat complications on the spot. Injectables are prescription medicines. At Le Dermaire every injection is planned and given by Dr. Tanya Kochhar herself.
How long do aesthetic treatment results last?
It depends on the treatment. Botulinum toxin usually lasts three to four months, hyaluronic acid filler roughly six to eighteen months, and skin boosters and PRP several months with maintenance. A Hydrafacial glow lasts about one to two weeks. Maintenance intervals are explained in your plan before you start.
Is an aesthetic dermatologist the same as a cosmetologist?
Not necessarily. An aesthetic dermatologist is a medical doctor with a postgraduate degree in dermatology and further training in cosmetic procedures. Cosmetologist is a broad title that can include beauty therapists without a medical degree, who cannot prescribe or legally give prescription injectables. Ask about qualifications before booking.
Do aesthetic treatments hurt?
Most are well tolerated. Toxin feels like a few quick pinpricks, most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, and numbing cream is used before needling, PRP and boosters. The lips and under-eyes are more sensitive. A Hydrafacial is painless. Any tenderness afterwards usually settles within a day or two.
