Anti-ageing treatment in Gurgaon
Fine lines, volume loss, dullness and texture, treated by dermatologist Dr. Tanya Kochhar with a conservative plan that combines skin care, in-clinic procedures and injectables. The aim is skin that looks well rather than treated.
What anti-ageing treatment is available in Gurgaon?
Anti-ageing treatment combines skin care, in-clinic procedures and injectables to address fine lines, volume loss, dullness and texture. At Le Dermaire, Dr. Tanya Kochhar plans it conservatively, aiming for skin that looks well rather than treated. Toxin shows in 1 to 2 weeks, fillers at once and skin quality over 2 to 3 months, with planned top-ups.
Anti-ageing treatment, in short
Typical figures across the treatments used. Your own plan depends on your concerns, your skin and how much change you want.
What changes as skin ages
Ageing happens in layers. The skin surface becomes duller and rougher as cell turnover slows. Collagen and elastin decline, so fine lines appear and skin loses its bounce. Beneath the skin, fat pads shrink and shift and bone slowly remodels, which causes hollows under the eyes and deeper folds around the mouth. Repeated muscle movement etches lines on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes.
In India, sun exposure, heat and pollution speed this up, and in medium to darker skin, ageing often shows first as uneven pigment and dullness rather than deep wrinkles. A good plan addresses each layer with the tool suited to it, instead of trying to fix everything with one treatment.
Daily sunscreen and a prescription retinoid are the most proven anti-ageing measures available. Every in-clinic treatment works better, and lasts longer, on skin that is protected at home.
How skin changes in each decade, and what to prioritise
Age is only a rough guide; sun exposure, genetics, smoking, sleep and skin type often matter more. These are the changes most commonly seen in Indian skin, and the priorities that usually make sense at each stage.
Twenties: prevention
Collagen production begins its slow decline in the mid-twenties, but the skin still repairs quickly. The main visible changes are sun-related: tanning, uneven tone and post-acne marks. Priority: daily sunscreen, treating acne and pigment early, and introducing a retinoid. Procedures are rarely needed for ageing at this stage.
Thirties: early lines and dullness
Cell turnover slows, skin looks duller, and the first expression lines appear between the brows and around the eyes. Pigment such as melasma often surfaces, particularly around pregnancy. Priority: a consistent retinoid and sunscreen routine, peels or hydrafacial for glow, skin boosters for dehydration, and light botulinum toxin if expression lines bother you.
Forties: volume and texture
Fat pads in the mid-face begin to thin and descend, under-eye hollows deepen and lines start to stay at rest. Pores and texture become more noticeable, and sun spots accumulate. Priority: toxin for dynamic lines, conservative filler for early hollowing, and collagen work such as microneedling or fractional laser for texture.
Fifties: support and skin quality
Around menopause, collagen falls more quickly and skin becomes drier and thinner. Bone remodelling and volume loss soften the jawline and deepen folds. Priority: restoring support with filler where it looks natural, boosters or PRP for crêpey skin, pigment treatment for age spots, and the neck as well as the face.
Sixties and beyond: comfort and maintenance
Skin is thinner, heals more slowly and is more prone to dryness, easy bruising and sun damage that needs checking. Priority: a gentle, moisturising routine, careful screening of spots and growths, and modest, well-spaced treatments that keep skin healthy rather than chase dramatic change.
Common concerns and what helps
Most people have several of these. Each points to a different kind of treatment.
Expression lines
Frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet caused by muscle movement. Botulinum toxin (Botox) softens them by relaxing the muscles involved.
Volume loss & folds
Hollow cheeks, tear troughs, thinning lips and deepening smile lines. Hyaluronic acid fillers restore support where volume has been lost.
Fine lines & dullness
Crêpey, dehydrated or tired-looking skin. Skin boosters, PRP or a vampire facial, and hydrafacial improve hydration and glow.
Texture & open pores
Rough skin, enlarged pores and early laxity. Microneedling, laser skin rejuvenation and peels stimulate collagen and smooth the surface.
Uneven tone
Sun spots, age spots and blotchy pigment, very common in Indian skin. Peels, laser and prescription topicals even out colour.
Neck & under-eyes
Neck lines and thin, dark under-eye skin. Neck rejuvenation and under-eye rejuvenation use boosters, PRP or filler where suitable.
How an anti-ageing plan works
Four stages, with nothing done on the day unless you want it to be.
Consultation
Dr. Tanya looks at your face at rest and in movement, checks skin quality and pigment, and asks what bothers you most. Medical history and medicines are reviewed.
A prioritised plan
You get a written plan in order of what will make the most difference, with a home routine, suggested treatments, expected results and a quote.
Treatment
Procedures are spaced so the skin can recover and results can be judged. Injectables are placed conservatively and reviewed before anything is added.
Review & maintenance
A follow-up checks the result. Treatments are repeated only as they wear off, so the face changes gradually and naturally.
Anti-ageing treatment cost in Gurgaon
The cost depends on which treatments your plan includes, the areas treated and the number of sessions. You receive a written quote after the consultation, and can start with as much or as little of the plan as you choose.
Why less is often more
The most expensive anti-ageing result is one that looks overdone and has to be corrected. A plan that begins with sunscreen and a retinoid, then adds small, well-chosen treatments, usually costs less over time and looks more natural than several procedures at once.
The treatments explained
Botox and fillers. Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles behind expression lines and typically lasts 3 to 4 months. Hyaluronic acid fillers replace lost volume in the cheeks, lips, jawline and under the eyes, and typically last from about 6 to 18 months depending on the area and product. Both are prescription treatments given by a doctor.
Skin boosters and PRP. Skin boosters are fine injections of hyaluronic acid that hydrate the skin from within. PRP, including the vampire facial, uses growth factors from your own blood to support skin quality. Both are given as a course and improve glow and fine lines gradually.
Microneedling, laser and peels. Microneedling and laser skin rejuvenation create controlled micro-injury that prompts new collagen, improving texture, pores and fine lines over several sessions. Chemical peels and hydrafacial refresh the surface and even tone with little or no downtime. Settings and strengths are chosen for Indian skin to avoid post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Prescription skin care. A retinoid at night and a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning slow further ageing and support every other treatment. Antioxidants and moisturisers are added as your skin needs them.
Botox or fillers: which do you need?
The two are often mentioned together but do different jobs. Many faces need one, some need both, and some need neither.
| Botox (botulinum toxin) | Hyaluronic acid fillers | |
|---|---|---|
| What it treats | Dynamic lines that appear with expression: frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet. | Volume loss and folds seen at rest: hollow cheeks, tear troughs, thin lips, smile lines. |
| How it works | Relaxes the specific muscle that creases the skin. | Replaces lost volume and support beneath the skin. |
| When results show | Gradually over 1 to 2 weeks. | Immediately, settling over about two weeks. |
| How long it lasts | Typically 3 to 4 months. | Roughly 6 to 18 months, depending on area and product. |
| Downtime | Minimal; possible small bruises. | Minimal; possible swelling or bruising for a few days. |
| Reversible? | Wears off on its own. | Yes; hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. |
| Not suitable | Pregnancy, breastfeeding and some neuromuscular conditions. | Pregnancy, active skin infection at the site, some autoimmune conditions. |
Both are prescription treatments given by a doctor after assessing the face at rest and in movement. Full details are on the Botox and fillers guide.
Skin boosters or PRP facial: which suits your skin?
Both improve skin quality rather than lines from movement or deep folds. They differ in what is injected and what they do best.
| Skin boosters | PRP facial | |
|---|---|---|
| What is used | Fine, lightly structured hyaluronic acid. | Platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. |
| Best for | Dehydrated, crêpey skin, fine lines and lost glow. | Texture, fine lines, dullness and mild post-acne marks. |
| Initial course | Usually 2 to 3 sessions, 3 to 4 weeks apart. | Often 3 sessions, about 4 weeks apart. |
| Downtime | 1 to 3 days of small bumps and possible bruising. | 1 to 3 days of redness and mild swelling. |
| Results | Skin looks more hydrated over 2 to 4 weeks after each session. | Subtle improvement that builds over weeks. |
| Maintenance | Every few months, as hyaluronic acid is broken down. | Occasional maintenance sessions. |
| Not suitable | Active infection or inflammation at the site, pregnancy. | Blood or platelet disorders, some blood thinners, active infection. |
Neither replaces botulinum toxin for expression lines or filler for volume loss. They are often combined with microneedling, peels or hydrafacial for overall skin quality.
Combining treatments and planning around events
Most anti-ageing results come from a few treatments working together rather than one large procedure. A typical sequence starts with the home routine, then adds the treatment that will make the most visible difference, such as toxin for frown lines or a booster course for dull, dehydrated skin, and only then layers in collagen work like microneedling or laser. Spacing them lets each result be judged on its own and keeps downtime manageable.
Timing matters before a wedding, a big birthday or a holiday. Botulinum toxin is best given at least two to three weeks ahead, so the effect has settled and any small adjustment can be made. Fillers are best placed three to four weeks ahead, to allow swelling or bruising to settle. Courses such as skin boosters, PRP, microneedling or laser need to start two to three months before, because their benefit builds over sessions. A hydrafacial or light peel can be done a few days before for a quick refresh.
Some treatments are deliberately not combined on the same day, or are spaced a few weeks apart, to avoid irritating the skin or blurring which treatment caused which effect. Your plan sets out the order and the gaps.
Avoid trying a new injectable or a stronger peel or laser for the first time in the week before an important event. If something needs adjusting, there should be time to do it.

Anti-ageing care led by a dermatologist
Ageing skin is still skin, and a medical eye matters. A dermatologist can separate normal ageing from sun damage, rosacea or a lesion that needs checking, choose laser and peel settings that are safe for darker skin, understand the facial anatomy that makes injectables safe, and manage a complication promptly if one occurs. It also means being told honestly when a treatment is not needed.

Anti-ageing treatment FAQs
What is the right age to start anti-ageing treatment?
There is no fixed age. Daily sunscreen is worth starting as early as possible, and many people add a retinoid in their mid to late twenties. Procedures such as botulinum toxin or fillers are usually considered when a specific concern appears, rather than at a particular birthday. Dr. Tanya advises based on your skin, not your age alone.
Will anti-ageing treatment make me look different or frozen?
Not when it is planned conservatively. The approach at Le Dermaire is skin that looks well rather than treated: small doses of toxin that soften lines while keeping expression, and filler used to restore rather than change your features. Treatment is built up gradually and reviewed, so changes stay subtle.
How much does anti-ageing treatment cost in Gurgaon?
At Le Dermaire the cost depends on which treatments are included, the areas treated and the number of sessions. You receive a written quote after the consultation, before anything is booked. The consultation fee is Rs 1,800, and there are no charges that have not been quoted to you first.
How long do anti-ageing results last?
It depends on the treatment. Botulinum toxin typically lasts 3 to 4 months, hyaluronic acid fillers roughly 6 to 18 months depending on the area and product, and collagen gained through microneedling or laser lasts longer but continues to age. Sunscreen and a good home routine help every result last.
Are anti-ageing treatments safe for Indian skin?
Yes, when they are chosen and set for darker skin. The main risk in Indian skin is post-inflammatory pigmentation after peels, laser or microneedling, so conservative settings, skin preparation and strict sun protection are used. Injectables carry the same considerations in all skin types and should be given by a trained doctor.
Do anti-ageing creams actually work?
A few do. Broad-spectrum sunscreen and prescription retinoids have strong evidence for preventing and improving signs of ageing. Vitamin C, niacinamide and moisturisers support skin health. Creams cannot relax muscles or replace lost volume, which is where botulinum toxin and fillers are used if you want that change.
Do I need Botox or fillers?
Botox (botulinum toxin) softens lines that appear when you move your face, such as frown lines and crow's feet. Fillers restore volume where it has been lost, such as hollow cheeks or tear troughs. If a line is visible at rest because of hollowing, filler is usually the better tool. Many people need only one.
Are skin boosters or a PRP facial better for glow?
Both improve skin quality gradually. Skin boosters use hyaluronic acid and suit dehydrated, crêpey skin. A PRP facial uses your own platelets and suits texture, fine lines and dullness. Each is given as a short course a few weeks apart. The choice depends on your skin, and sometimes they are alternated.
Is there downtime after anti-ageing treatments?
Most treatments need little or no downtime. Injections can cause small bruises or swelling for a few days. Microneedling and laser rejuvenation may leave redness for one to three days. Superficial peels can cause mild flaking. Treatments can be timed around events, and this is discussed when your plan is made.
